Jobs

This poem laments losing one’s freedom to a job

Job as it seems
Feels narrowly broken down into streams
One hopes to go one way
Other ways just tell him
Work can depress you in another way

Feeling like working after you get your pay
Same guy same month
But the date changes his ways
How shall I work when I just left the hardworking days

I shall seek revenge for I cannot succumb any longer
Another night passes by wishing the month to end its days
How shall I work when I am losing my pay
Not for work but for what I want from my pay

Now it’s the time to decide my fate
20 days gone and I need the 1 day’s pay
I shall work if you give my strength back
Oh! I see I gave it for the money you give
